The Government has indicated that the reforms envisaged, and the March 2008 Code amendments will be reviewed in 2013. It would very surprising if further franchising inquiries are set up before then. There is nevertheless a lingering concern that South Australia may enact state legislation imposing a further layer of regulation on franchising in South Australia. This would be a very unfortunate move and it is hoped that such political maneuverings are quickly dismissed.
