The Coffee Club is set to open a total of 21 new stores across both local and international markets between now and Christmas.

The Australian-based cafe chain has already opened 24 domestic and overseas outlets in 2014.

Twelve of the 21 sites are currently under construction in Australia; meanwhile the remaining are situated overseas.

If all goes to plan, The Coffee Club will have 25 new stores in Australia and another 20 greenfield sites operating overseas before the end of the year.

“The Coffee Club’s record growth this year has been fuelled by regional and greenfield developments in Australia, while internationally we’ve experienced solid growth in New Zealand and Asia,” said Jason Ball, the CEO of the brand’s parent company Minor DKL Food Group.

He added domestic stores are situated across the country. “In addition to opening our first shipping container concept stores at Brisbane airport earlier in the year, we have secured positions within new developments from Western Australia right across to the eastern seaboard.”

The recent signing of official agreements with representatives in Indonesia, Malaysia and the Gulf Coast Council (GCC) region of the Middle East has fuelled the brand’s international expansion in 2014.

“This year, The Coffee Club opened two stores in Indonesia and one in Malaysia with more in the pipeline. We are also excited to get our first stores on the ground in Dubai and Abu Dhabi by the end of 2014.

“New Zealand has also been powering ahead with its store expansion strategy with five opening this year, push it past 53 stores across the country,” he added.

Apart from expansion, in 2014 The Coffee Club has also focused on refurbishing its stores, introducing new menu items and developing a new franchise recruitment strategy – ‘Join The Club.'
