Snap Printing marks Irish 25th anniversary

An Australian print franchise has just celebrated 25 years for its Irish operations. There are now 24 Snap Franchising centres across Ireland.

Snap Franchising CEO Grant Vernon said the Irish groupÍs success was due to the vision and hard work of its founder, Michael Kearney, who started the franchise, his first business venture, at 28 years of age.

ñMr Kearney worked with Snap in Australia in the early 1980s and took the concept to Ireland when he returned. In 1984 he took on a huge risk, investing in Snap IrelandÍs first centre at a time when Irish interest rates were 17 percent and unemployment 18 percent.î

Snap started as Imperial Print in Perth in 1903 and now has more than 150 centres across Australia. The overseas business includes New Zealand and China.
