Brazilian Butterfly in Fairfield, Melbourne, is the newest of the 28-national salon network, opening its doors to the local community on Monday, February 4.

The new salon is owned and managed by local identity, Kate Mackie, who has spent the majority of her working life in sales and maketing, servicing the local area.

Kate discovered Brazilian Butterfly as a client and loved what she saw. Now the dream of owning her own salon has come true.

“I was a customer at Brazilian Butterfly for at least five years and thought the brand really suited my personality. I also worked part-time in a Brazilian Butterfly salon,” Kate says.

“Brazilian Butterfly has such a strong and respected brand name and there is no doubt that we are leaders in the industry. I liked the professionalism of the brand; I was a very satisfied customer, loved working in the business and couldn’t wait to own my own salon.”

Salon growth

Brazilian Butterfly managing director, Scott Farrar, says the brand has continued to open new salons despite the tough economic outlook.

“We have opened six new salons in the past 12 months and look forward to opening three in three states over the next three months, including Sydney and Perth,” Scott says.

“This time last year, we said we were going to spread our wings and I’m proud to say that we have delivered.”
