Jamaica Blue fitout wins award

A Jamaica Blue restaurant at Waterford Plaza in Western Australia has brought the One Group Retail Experience the highly coveted Best Interior Fitout _ Food / Restaurant (up to $250,000) Award from the Australian Shop and Office Fitting Industry Association (ASOFIA).

Designed by interior designer Sarah Daniel from The Foodco Group, One Group brought to life the winning Jamaica Blue cafe with distressed timbers, faux brickwork and a neutral colour scheme, overseeing the build, installation and project management.

The whole store was put together in One Group's state-of-the-art factory in Wangara, WA  and the national design manager of The Foodco Group, Robert Cavallo, believes this contributed to the win.

"The Foodco Group is very excited to have the new Jamaica blue concept at Waterford Plaza.

“This fresh new concept has been well received across the country and abroad with many new shops scheduled to open in 2012. The new store provides an escape-haven for our customers from their everyday busy lives, with a relaxed atmosphere combined with great coffee and fabulous food,” said Cavallo.

One Group project manager, Alan Liddel, said “Winning this award for this job is a great moment for our team. It is proof that our processes and procedures that we have worked hard to perfect are what create successful relationships with our clients.”

One Group has worked with The Foodco Group, the owners of the Jamaica Blue franchising brand, since 1999. The successful relationship has seen 11 fitouts completed since 2010 including this award winning space in Waterford Plaza.
