Jamaica Blue, Muffin Break parent company appoints new CEO

A new boss is heading up the company that operates the Jamaica Blue and Muffin Break cafe brands.

It’s a new era for the Foodco Group after the long term managing director moved on to an executive chair role at the multi-brand food franchise business and the firm welcomes retail-experienced Richard Goodman to the CEO position.

Richard started his career on the shop floor at David Jones and has held senior roles in areas including store operations. finance, planning and communications.

He said “I am looking forward to working hard to grow and develop our people, strengthen our brands, unlock new growth opportunities and importantly, support the success of our franchisees”.

The Foodco Group comprises Jamaica Blue, Muffin Break, and recent addition Hudsons Coffee.

Outgoing boss Serge Infanti has been with Foodco for over 30 years and as executive chair will now be responsible for international licensed operations, key global projects, supporting the brands’ growth in the UK as well as transitioning the Hudsons coffee business, franchise industry representation and providing assistance with post-Covid property negotiations.

Serge praised the new CEO’s passion for developing people.

“Richard is an impressive leader with experience leading large teams in Australia and internationally,” he said.
