Multi-award winning franchise Sign A Rama Joondalup has scooped the Franchise Business of the Year award at the ECU North West Metro Small Business Awards in Perth. Franchisees Craig Mason and Neville Rozario have grown their business at a steady rate of around 25 percent every year and within the Sign A Rama group now rank as the fourth store in Australia and 13th in the world in terms of revenue.

In the nine years since it opened, the franchise has won nine industry accolades, including Best Display award at the 2008 Perth Home Ideas Show for a client. The store’s success has been built on a “create raving fans” philosophy.

Craig Mason said, “One of the best and easiest ways to build business is to get referrals and a high percentage of our new work is referred. We try to add real value to our services,” he said. “For example, with our long term marketing experience and extensive list of strong contacts in the industry, we are well placed to suggest complementary marketing strategies for our clients.

“We attempt to be at the forefront of any product or process developments and we also invest heavily in our people,” he added. “Our business is built on the concept of “never ending improvement”. We never accept the status quo and simply meander from one year to the next. That’s how we’ve been able to achieve our exceptional growth rates.”

The franchise team has set its sights high.

“We aim to be in the top 10 of all 850 Sign A Rama franchises worldwide in 2009,” revealed Mason.
