A portion of the ValentineÕs Day sales of more than 1,000 Donut King, BrumbyÕs Bakery, MichelÕs Patisserie and bbÕs cafe outlets across Australia will be donated to the Australian Red Cross Victorian Bushfire Appeal. The four retail brands which are owned by Retail Food Group (RFG) hope to raise more than $100,000 for the appeal, including a donation from RFG.

Company CEO Tony Alford said Donut King, BrumbyÕs Bakery, MichelÕs Patisserie and bbÕs cafe franchisees were enthusiastic and keen to raise money to support those in need. “RFG has a community of over 1,000 franchisees and numerous highly supportive trade partners. When we heard about the Victorian bushfire disaster we immediately recognised the need and took action to determine what we could do to assist,” he said. “A portion of the sales of all outlets from ValentineÕs Day, Saturday 14 February, will be donated to the appeal.”

Last week the group held its annual conference on the Gold Coast where suppliers also auctioned off goods to raise money for the appeal.
