Eagle Boys Pizza is preparing for the State of Origin rush, with the franchise ordering in extra supplies for the more than 160,000 pizzas that it expects to make for the big game this Wednesday night.

In order to cater for demand and produce double the amount of pizzas normally ordered on a Wednesday night, Eagle Boys will use more than 22.4 tonnes of mozzarella cheese and 14.4 tonnes of pizza sauce.

“We’re really focused on coming out fighting and getting all orders out hard and fast on the night. For us, the orders start coming in early as people prepare for the match, and even after the final siren blows our stores will still be giving 100 percent as fans celebrate,” said group executive marketing, Christine Hooper.

“For those celebrating on the night, the best match tip is to get your order in early by either phoning the store or ordering online,” she said.

Eagle Boys is expecting its Eagle Boys Works, Butcher’s Block and The Scorcher pizza flavours to be the picks of the night.
