Pizza franchise, Eagle Boys, will be supporting cerebral palsy research and fundraising campaigns by donating more than $200,00 over the next three years to The Cerebral Palsy Alliance.

To kick-start the campaign, Eagle Boys will donate $1 from every dessert sold during Cerebral Palsy week (1-7 August) to Cerebral Palsy Alliance.

Eagle Boys’ CEO, Todd Clayton, said “Our work in delivering real taste, real size and real value pizzas in recent years has seen Eagle Boys enjoy strong growth. We now have a real opportunity to give back and support an organisation which is doing great work assisting children and adults with cerebral palsy, and also identifying its cause.

“Specifically, our support will help fund the work of Hayley Smithers-Sheedy who is a research officer for the Australian Cerebral Palsy Register at the Cerebral Palsy Alliance. She is working on programs to deliver a better quality of life for many children with cerebral palsy, and studying cytomegalovirus, one of the known causes of cerebral palsy.”

Cerebral palsy is the most common physical disability in childhood and is caused by an injury to the developing brain, which usually occurs before birth.
