Double franchisee win at Nanotek

Two of Nanotek's highest achieving franchisees are sharing the top title of Franchise of the Year for 2012.

Camden local Ian Franke has been with the national mobile car cleaning franchise for three years, and Kingston local Gary Macfarlane has notched up five years with the business.

Nanotek CEO Jim Cornish said “Both Ian and Gary had excelled in their respective businesses and it was impossible to draw a line between the two so we were delighted to award two very well-deserving people Franchise of the Year."

Both franchisees have enjoyed the transition from their former careers to the freedom of running their own businesses, and with young families the change in lifestyle has been a blessing.

“Being able to take the kids to school or pick them up has been a great bonus of being able to work my own hours,” said Macfarlane.

He is also no stranger to receiving Nanotek accolades, previously winning Victoria’s Franchisee of the Year and the F.I.R.S.T award, which meant he embodied Nanotek’s values in all aspects of his business.

Franke, the first Nanotek franchisee to be inducted into the Franchise Council of Australia’s Franchisee Success Club, is an enthusiastic member of his local business community, belonging to both the Camden Chamber of Commerce and the South West Networking Group.

“My business has allowed me to take a more active role in my community, through meeting new people and by becoming involved in charitable events,” he said.
