Chance to win $1 million: Supanews comp winner

Franchised newsagency chain Supanews has a winner in its Chance to Win $1 Million competition. The contest attracted more than 110,000 entries and 14,000 Facebook likes over the six weeks of in-store promotion.

Belinda Duff who entered the competition at Erina Market, NSW, now has the opportunity to win the big prize.

Duff will be flow to Brisbane to play the Supanews Game of Chance on Friday 23 November, and hopes to pick the milllion dollar envelope out of a choice of 50. If she picks one of the other envelopes, Duff still walks away with $10,000.

Supanews retail managing director Adrian Gaskin said “The newsagency industry is facing some vey strong competitive forces, and those who are standing still will not survive. By pushing into demographically and behaviourally target email offers, we are now positioned to tackle those competitive forces head on, and give customers more reason to shop with us.”

The newsagency partnered with a digital strategy company to manage the promotion and customer engagement following the competition.

The entries and Facebook likes have helped build up a customer database that will be leveraged to drive sales within the franchised network.
