The first 24 hour NightOwl Convenience store in Victoria opens in Mornington. NightOwl Convenience master franchisor Adam Adams said he was excited to be expanding into the Victorian market.
ñNightOwl has worked hard to put in place the infrastructure to handle an increase in store numbers as we continue to expand our successful franchising formula throughout Australia,î Adams said.
ñNightOwl Convenience is Australian owned and operated and its franchises operate 49 stores now across the country and employ more than 400 casual and full-time staff.î
Owners and Mornington residents, Mel and Sandra Owen, said the store will be managed by daughter Michele.
ñMore than 10 staff will be employed to work at the store and we are really looking forward to making a positive impact on our local economy,î said Mel Owen.
Michele Owen has more than 10 years experience within a retail environment previously working as a store manager with Caltex and McDonalds.
ñWe will be combining our experience in the retail industry with strong support from NightOwl as the Mornington store will be featured in upcoming marketing campaigns including online promotions and local advertising.
ñAs well, NightOwl are helping us to organise our official Grand Opening celebrations, to be held later this year.î
Mel Owen said the NightOwl Convenience store in Mornington would not just be supporting the local business community. ñWe do want to give back to local charities and community groups as well,î he said.
ñThere are so many local organisations that contribute enormously to our community_ their generosity is truly inspirational. So, the least we can do here at NightOwl is support the groups that support our community,î he said.
