From $250,000.

What is your business?

We have been serving young families for over 35 years. Today, many of these families are visiting us with grandchildren!

Spotlight on the Muffin Break brand

What makes your brand stand out from the competition?

  • Our freshly-baked, extensive range of muffins.
  • Our lunch menus feature delicious options made from high-quality ingredients, with rotating menus devised by our national chefs.
  • Comprehensive training and support gives you a proven recipe for success.

Why is this a good business for a franchisee to buy into?

You will be joining an iconic Australian Brand working with experienced fellow franchise partners, along with the support and guidance of Muffin Break’s operations, marketing, product, IT and training teams, to help you grow and deliver the rewards that can come from owning your own business. New product development, new coffee equipment and training ensure the highest standards of customer service and café operations.

Which element of franchisee support is the most well received?

Our team of business coaches provides our franchisees exceptional support, and in the past few years, individuals have been recognised by awards within the industry (Franchise Council of Australia). We have also been recognised as ‘Coffee Shop of the Year’ by Roy Morgan, which is a testament to our franchisees and their store standards.

How many hours a week does a franchisee typically work?

Our most successful franchisees work full time in their businesses. As the business owner, however, they can set their own schedule.

What drives your growth strategy?

Our growth strategy is based around considered site selection, including the best possible commercial terms. We are looking for locations that will perform strongly for multiple lease terms.

What are your expansion plans for the next five years?

We are looking at steady growth, over the next five years, of 10-12 bakery cafes in Australia. We also have more Muffin Break Cafes planned in airport and transit locations. There are many sites currently available and we are matching these with suitable franchise partners. We also have a number of current franchisees that are looking to operate multiple sites.

What’s coming up?

We’ll be rolling out a brilliant new design for our bakery/cafés, creating a relaxing café for families to catch up in and relax.

We are also launching the Muffin Break App later this year, along with self-ordering kiosks to assist in high-volume periods.
