San Churro opens first Wollongong store

The city of Wollongong recently received its first San Churro store, bringing the brand’s total number of outlets to 31.

Born and bred Wollongong local and the company’s newest franchisee, Manuel Rosete was looking for a career change.

He had also noticed the city was lacking when it came to night time entertainment options during the week, which led him to the San Churro brand.

Manuel and the franchisor worked together to bring the store to fruition, with head office helping him recruit and train staff, set up the relevant systems required to run the business and overseeing the physical fit out.

The store was reportedly incredibly busy on opening day, with lines streaming out the door as locals queued for up to an hour to sample the store’s offerings.

This trend continued for the duration of the store’s opening week, resulting in what were said to be record sales.

The opening also attracted the attention of the media, with a local news reporter interviewing Manuel at the store the night before it opened.
