On Friday, 15 March Guzman y Gomez opened its new store at Manly wharf on Sydney’s northern beaches.

To celebrate the occasion, the store held a ‘Free Burrito Day’, and from 11am to 8pm passers-by were entitled to a burrito or bowl for free.

The initiative was well received, and a total of 4,554 burritos were handed out to locals and tourists eager to sample what the brand has to offer.

The new store offers the full Guzman y Gomez menu, which encompasses burritos, tacos, quesadillas, nachos, salads, sides and kids meals. 

The store is also licensed, and offers beer and Mexican-style margaritas. 

This latest opening brings the total number of Guzman y Gomez stores to 24, 13 of which are in Sydney.
