The Gaskin Supanews Group, which operates the Supanews newsagent franchise, will raise funds and awareness for ovarian cancer this Mother’s Day, donating five cents from every card sold to the Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation.

Up to $5,500 will be donated from card sales made at Supanews newsagents or Angus and Robertson book stores, which the Gaskin Supanews Group also operates.

The Gaskin Supanews Group managing director, Adrian Gaskin, said “We are proud to support a cause that has such a strong focus. Knowing that the Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation will use the money our customers and franchisees help us raise for vital programs, including research into finding an early detection test for ovarian cancer, is very rewarding.”

Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation works to raise awareness of the symptoms of ovarian cancer, to improve outcomes for women diagnosed, and also provides information and support to improve the quality of life for women living with ovarian cancer.
