Fitness franchise, Workout World, has opened its first overseas store, in Los Angeles. The 500sqm outlet forms part of the company’s broader retail push in the US, which includes a total of 10 stores.

According to Workout World director, Darren Piggins, the venture will test the US’s appetite for specialist fitness equipment retailing – and so far so good.

“So far trading has met with our expectations and we’re finding that foot traffic is steadily increasing. Our professional advice and stringent product selection work together to help the customer make an educated buying decision and purchase with confidence. We are already receiving referrals from satisfied customers spreading the word, which is also very pleasing,” he said.

Workout World outlets stock a range of quality fitness products including treadmills, cross trainers, bikes, weights, Home Fitness Studios, home gyms, nutritional supplements and boxing equipment.

“Our expansion into the US illustrates our confidence in the Workout World business model, which is centred upon selling quality fitness equipment, offering personalised service, fully trained fitness equipment specialists and a comprehensive product range.”

The new outlet is located at 14255 Ventura Blvd, Sherman Oaks, California.
