Is franchising a growing industry in Australia? In this video interview, Professor Lorelle Frazer pinpoints key statistics and reveals a drop in the number of franchise systems trading.

But there are signs of growth that contradict the general business trend, reports Frazer.

The Franchising Australia 2014 report conducted by the Asia-Pacific Centre for Franchising Excellence at Griffith University shows that at a unit level, the 79,000 franchise and company owned units in the marketplace reflect an increase of eight percent from the last survey in 2012.
