In keeping in line with its regional expansion plans, Pie Face has opened a new store in Townsville, with franchisees Paul O’Kane and Lara Hansen at the helm. 

Once they have fine-tuned their Flinders St store, the pair has plans to open additional outlets in and around Townsville.

“We are delighted to establish the first Pie Face in Townsville and by the overwhelming response we received from locals who just love the food offer,” O’Kane said.

“Pies and sausage rolls are the winners so far, but there is great potential to grow coffee and catering as well.”

The bakery-cafe chain’s commercial manager, Andrew Lyme said Pie Face was thrilled by the initial success of the store.

“The store is a new generation Pie Face design and is situated to capture trade from day time office workers plus those out at night visiting the many pubs and clubs scattered along Flinders Street.

“We look forward to working closely with Paul and Lara on the Flinders Street business alongside assessing new store opportunities in this promising North Queensland market,” added Lyme.

Pie Face recently opened new stores in other Queensland regional areas including Rockhampton and Cairns, and it plans to continue its regional expansion throughout Queensland

It is also currently reviewing regional store opportunities in New South Wales and Victoria.
