Olympic gold medalist and former world champion, Susie O’Neill visited Swimart franchises in Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria as the star attraction during the stores’ end of season sale.

According to Chris Fitzmaurice, Swimart’s national manager, O’Neill’s appearance was the topic of much conversation amongst locals.

Everyone wanted to meet her and have their photo taken with this most outstanding Aussie athlete, he said. She really is one of our most enduring sporting legends and having her spend time in our stores was a huge honour.

O’Neill visited stores at Queensland’s Beenleigh and Browns Plains, New South Wales’ Charmhaven and Cheltenham in Victoria.

The stores reported impressive increases in sales compared to the same time last year, and attributed this to O’Neill’s pulling power.
