Little Kickers classes introduce children up to age seven to soccer. The program was developed by qualified soccer coaches and preschool teachers in London, and has been franchised since 2004; now with more than 125 franchisees around the world. With eight franchisees already in New South Wales, Little Kickers is looking to add franchisees here and in the ACT.

NSW/ACT director Dan Kelland says ñAs a company we believe that every child deserves the opportunity to experience the benefits of regular physical activity, not just those whose parents are able to afford to pay for commercial classes. With this in mind, we are keen to work with local community groups to ensure that young children are provided with a fun, positive introduction to sport.

ñWe are also looking to continue to grow relationships with various government departments, sporting associations and the Franchise Council of Australia.î

Every Little Kickers franchisee is provided with world-class business infrastructure and training. ñWe are continuing to develop our systems to allow for greater sharing of knowledge and resources between franchisees globally. This will help maintain the quality and depth of every Little Kickers session,î says Kelland.

In 2010 Little Kickers was approached by the English Football Association to provide input into the new Early Years Program they are developing. Little Kickers is the only commercially-run company to be working in an advisory capacity on the development of the technical aspects of this new qualification.
