The first brand new Pizza Hut store to open its doors in six years in New Zealand has been unveiled, and it’s the first step to continued expansion in the market for the global pizza chain.

Andy Masood, head of development at Pizza Hut, said the opening of the new outlet signalled a renewed focus on the market and was an exciting time for the brand.

“We’re thrilled to see the brand expanding once again in New Zealand,” he said. “There are a number of additional expansion opportunities in the region and anyone looking to align themselves with a global brand should certainly consider speaking to us.”

The new store in Te Awamutu is operated by up-and-coming franchisee Satyan Mehra.

“Our team was excited to open the new store and celebrated with a grand opening day the whole community enjoyed,” Mehra said.

“I always wanted to own my own business and was instantly attracted to Pizza Hut because of its global presence and transparency through being a listed company.”
