Big4 Katherine Holiday Park has announced the opening of two new safari tents offering guests the fun of camping without the hassle.

Located near the park’s sapphire swimming pool and brand new camp kitchen, the permanent tents are set up on a large timber deck. Each tent comes complete with a queen bed, fridge freezer, table and chairs and all linen is provided.

Park owner Jeff Smith, said the BIG4 Katherine Holiday Park team was very excited to welcome the first guests.

“We’re really looking forward to helping guests experience a traditional camping holiday, without sacrificing comfort. We live in a beautiful part of Australia and we’re happy to be able to share it with our guests in such a unique way,” said Jeff.

“The total cost of the safari tents was around $50,000, an investment we were happy to make to improve the BIG4 Katherine Holiday Park experience,” he added.

The safari tents are just one of the ways the park demonstrates its commitment to provide superior holiday facilities. Late last year the park received a $20,000 grant from ecoBiz NT in recognition the park’s efforts to improve its environmental footprint by upgrading the park’s bore water pump, resulting in considerable mains water savings.
