Roll’d stores for Brisbane and Canberra

Melbourne-based Vietnamese food franchise Roll’d is set to open a new store at Brisbane’s Queens Plaza in August, its first outside of Victoria.

The ACT is also in the brand’s sights, with a store scheduled to open at the Canberra Centre in September.

Despite only receiving its franchising agreement in April, Roll’d has already signed on franchisees to operate its six stores in Melbourne.

Roll’d is a family orientated business, and current franchisees are either family or friends of the brand’s founders Bao Hoang, Tin Ly and Ray Esquiries.

Hoang, Ly and Esquiries are looking to grow the brand quite rapidly over the next three years, and international expansion is on the cards.

“Ideally, Roll’d will have a strong national presence and begin international expansion by 2015 with a select group of highly successful franchisees. We plan to have 100 stores by June 2016,” said co-founder Hoang.

Roll’d currently has six Melbourne stores including two new outlets at Collins Place in the CBD and the inner-city suburb of Brunswick.

There are plans to open another six outlets across the city over the next two months at locations including RMIT University and Southern Cross Lane in the CBD, Chadstone, South Yarra’s Jam Factory and the Southland and Eastland shopping centres.
