Battery World franchisee Elias Hazouri has been spurred on by record growth at his Greensborough, Victoria store to buy a second outlet.

Elias saw the chance to expand his territory in the neighbouring city of Fawkner and deliver the same high levels of customer service and support that has seen his initial store go from strength to strength.

“We knew this was a difficult time for many during the pandemic, however it gave us the opportunity to step up and keep the community recharged and safe on the road, in the office and at home,” Elias says.

“After recording a 37.4 per cent growth from June 2019 to June 2020 at our Greensborough store, it cemented in our minds how important our services are to the local community, especially during the height of this pandemic.

“We want to be able to offer our wide range of products and services to more of our community, everything from vehicle health checks, home delivery and urgent roadside assistance.”

Battery World services include free home delivery, click and collect, 24hr mobile service, free fitting, free battery checks and battery recycling.

Elias says “We are excited to tackle this new challenge and broaden our ability to deliver sustainable, high-quality Aussie-made battery solutions and expert advice to more customers.”

Battery World GM Johnny Kennedy says the expansion is evidence of Elias’ confidence in the business and the investment in strengthening their local community engagement.

“Even through all the uncertainty, it’s exciting to see our local stores backing our brand,” Johnny says.

“Elias and his team are a prime example of the quality customer service and product expertise we deliver day in, day out and I am excited to see him take the Fawkner store to new heights.”

In October 2020 Battery World franchisee, Poonam Yadav, bought her third store in Queensland.

“Battery World’s vast range of battery solutions has set up us for success acquiring a store close to the water. This allows us to focus on marine battery solutions and to offer our wide range of services; everything from roadside assistance, to our product knowledge, to more customers within the territory.”

Targeting outdoor leisure activities is part of the new strategy at Battery World, which has just signed up as naming partner for Aussie Race Cars Super Series.

Battery World is owned by Century Yuasa Batteries, Australia’s only battery manufacturer. The 111 stores stock more than 14,000 products from small coin cell and AAA batteries to large truck batteries.
