Retail Food Group (RFG) owned franchises Pizza Capers and Esquires Coffee have teamed up to deliver Australia’s first Pizza Capers slice bar.

Customers at Upper Coomera on the Gold Coast will now be able to stop off at their local Esquires Coffee for both a piping hot beverage and slice of pizza from Pizza Capers.

According to Retail Food Group’s brand system development manager, Khim Puseman the two brands seek to target a similar demographic, and their product offerings are testament to this.

“While serving different core products, Esquires and Pizza Capers cater to similar demographics and share the sample principles of high quality products, delicious ingredients and generous servings.

“Both brands appeal to an on-trend, modern consumer looking for quality in their meal occasions,” he said.

The slice bar offers six of Pizza Capers’ gourmet pizza varieties:

  • Mozambique piri piri
  • Hawaiian
  • BBQ bonanza
  • Pepperoni
  • Margherita
  • Vegetarian

Puseman said the pizzas are cooked to order and customers can choose to eat-in at the Esquires cafŽ or take their pizza slice away with them.

“Customers select the gourmet pizza they would like and a generous slice of pizza will be cooked hot and fresh in a matter of minutes for dining in Esquire’s trendy, comfortable cafŽ area or take-away for those on the go.”

Michael Logos, QSR divisional director, Retail Food Group said the company is eager to see how the pilot store will be received by customers.

“While for the first few months of operations we focus on executional excellence, we will also be continually reviewing the performance of the outlet so we are better placed to understand how this pilot might fit into our future development opportunities.”
