Orange Leaf Frozen Yogurt is marking its second anniversary in Australia with new store openings and a range of new product innovations and flavours.

Australia’s fourth Orange Leaf Frozen Yogurt store will open in Werribee, Victoria, in early December with a fifth store opening to the north of Melbourne early in 2014.

Australian master franchisee, Joe Rossi, believes the frozen dessert chain is on to something with its choice of new store locations.

“Werribee is at the heart of the Melbourne-Geelong growth corridor and is both an expanding commuter town and, with Werribee Park and Open Range Zoo, a tourist destination in its own right. We’ve identified similar locations both in Victoria and up the east coast into New South Wales and Queensland.

“Over the last two years we’ve developed a business model with a community connection at its heart we are now getting some real momentum behind rolling out,” said Rossi.

In December the company launches a takeaway option, Orange Leaf To Go; pre-packed containers of froyo and cookie sandwiches filled with Orange Leaf froyo.

“The new To Go offering provides our customers with the opportunity to enjoy Orange Leaf Frozen Yogurt whenever and wherever they want it,” said Rossi. “Since opening our first Australian store we have had countless requests for a take home option, so this is an exciting development for our customers and for our business.”

Local franchisees will create the To Go cookie sandwiches using a variety of their store’s regular and seasonal frozen yogurt flavours and locally sourced cookies. Orange Leaf To Go pint sized (470ml) containers will range in price from $5 to $8.

Orange Leaf has also just launched a new banana flavour frozen yogurt, made with fresh Australian grown bananas, to mark the start of the summer season. 

A number of new fruit based flavours will be rolled out over the busy summer period at all Orange Leaf stores in Australia.
