New marketing tool simplifies franchisees’ marketing at Mr Rental

Home appliances rental business Mr Rental is poised to release an online local area marketing system that allows franchisees to create their own promotions direct from the web.

The six month project is designed to ease the hands-on work (up to 60 hours weekly) in supporting local area marketing (LAM).

“This will allow us to focus on future opportunities,” said marketing manager Adam Coward.

Franchisees across Australia and New Zealand will be able to log in to the site, then choose a postcard, double sided newsletter, social media or web page format, pick images from the library, upload the data then pay any costs by credit card.

While weekly marketing updates provide sets of scripts for LAM use, franchisees can also create their own message targeted to their customers.

In the Mr Rental system, each franchise outlet has its own web page. “Each web page will have exactly the same feel and look, but a franchisee might choose to push a particular product,” Coward explained.
