Plus Fitness has appointed a national franchise support manager to assist the brand’s team of franchise support managers and help manage its rapid expansion.

The new role was created following a period of rapid growth that saw the business expand from six to 60 gyms in just two years, and it has sold a further 54 territories.

In addition, Plus Fitness recently opened its first Queensland franchise and it has sold another 12 territories in the sunshine state.

The role will be filled by Roger Nakad, who has previously held senior roles at both Fitness First and Genesis Health Clubs.

Not only does he have a background in the fitness and franchising industries, Nakad has also completed a business and marketing degree.

The role will see Nakad guide and support his team of franchise support managers so they in turn provide Plus Fitness franchisees with the assistance and support they need to sucessfully grow their business.

The brand’s franchisors Nigel Miller and John Fuller said the need for such a role became more apparent the more the company grew.

“With our high support franchise model, the need to attract someone with both business franchise and fitness industry experience was crucial.

“In recruiting Roger we have achieved this whilst also attracting someone that has the work ethic and attitude in fitting with our brand and the existing leadership team,” said Miller.
