For the second year running Mister Minit has been ranked number two in TopfranchiseÍs overall category for best franchise. The retailer, with more than 220 locations across Australia and New Zealand, was also ranked in the top five in several other categories.
To enter the awards, franchised companies commission Topfranchise to survey franchisees within its networks.
Mister Minit franchise manager, Maria Walton, explained the success behind the retail model.
“Mister MinitÍs franchising model goes beyond traditional franchise systems. We put major emphasis on having all three stakeholders benefiting from the structure, including the franchisee, the franchisor and most importantly the customer,” Walton said.
“The other main difference is that the owner will purchase a franchise for an established shop, which gives the franchisee the opportunity to use the established customer base and trading record to potentially generate returns more quickly than if they were building a business from scratch.
“These differences are the reasons weÍre able to attract and maintain great people, which is one of the core fundamentals of our franchise system. As a franchisor, nothing gives us more pride than developing our team members into business owners and giving great people real opportunities.
Daniel Everson, the Mister Minit Franchisee of the Year for 2010/11 said “being a franchisee of Mister Minit means I get to do a job I love but with higher returns. Having proven systems in place to follow gives me a sense of security and provides me with the tools to be successful”.
