Fast food giant McDonald’s and the Yum! Brands business have both been listed in the top 50 most admired companies by Fortune magazine.

After almost 75 years in business the golden arches chain remains a popular company and, suggests Fortune magazine, has responded to both the economic and cultural challenges with bargain priced product and a more health conscious menu.

McDonald’s was ranked at number 12 in a list topped by Apple, Google and Amazon.

The other food services franchise global organisation Yum! Brands was listed at number 46. In Australia Yum! Restaurants comprises KFC and Pizza Hut.
