Handyman franchise Hire A Hubby is on the look-out for new franchisees to keep up with increased customer demand.

Territories in the ACT, New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia, Tasmania, Victoria and Western Australia are currently available.

Brendan Green, CEO, Hire A Hubby said the company aims to recruit 60 new franchisees over the next year.

“We’re very fortunate that despite difficult economic times our offering is highly sought after across our franchise territories.

“As a result we’ll be looking to recruit a number of franchisees across the country this year to support our increased job numbers,” he added.

Green said franchisees are typically involved in both small and large scale projects.

“Most of the jobs we do are property maintenance – from plasterwork and hanging a door through to tiling and painting – but we also have the expertise to help clients with larger home improvement projects.”

He said initial franchise investment can be as little as $45,000, and returns in the first year of business will exceed that.

“Hire A Hubby is a very feasible option for people looking to start their own business and we offer an income guarantee of up to $100,000 in the first year.”

He said franchisees do not necessarily need to have a background in the building industry.

“You just need to be handy. Some of our most successful franchisees have come from senior management positions in finance and manufacturing,” added Green.

He said Hire A Hubby is after franchisees who have experience in managing customer expectations and co-ordinating projects.

“All franchisees undergo technical training but it’s these qualities that allow franchisees to create a successful business that affords them a flexible lifestyle,” he said.

Hire A Hubby is looking for franchisees in the following territories:

  • ACT – Canberra
  • NSW – Sydney, Hunter region, Illawarra
  • QLD – Brisbane, Gold Coast, Toowoomba, Gladstone, Rockhampton, Cairns, Townsville
  • SA – Adelaide
