Dreamy Donuts on the Gold Coast

The Dreamy Donuts franchise has opened the doors to its first store on the Gold Coast, and the third Queensland store owned by franchisees Paul and Kym Fell. The franchise was founded in Brisbane in April 2006 and now has 15 stores throughout Australia and New Zealand.

The Fells are pleased with the store’s performance so far, and believe that its location in the Robina Town Centre has been a significant factor in its success. Robina is one of the fastest growing areas in Australia population-wise, and the Robina Town Centre has just completed a $400 million redevelopment … We got an opportunity to get a good location and with a good concept, so we went with it, said Paul.

Dreamy Donuts can also cater for fundraisers, corporate events, fetes and weddings and Paul sees this as an area for growth in the future. We will consolidate what we’ve got and once we’ve got that well established then we’ll look at mobile sales. That’s another area that has a lot of potential, he said.

The new store opened on June 17, 2009 and boasts all 17 of the company’s signature flavours including traditional glazed, coffee cream tiramisu, apple crumble, dark chocolate dream and blueberry, as well as milkshakes and coffees. All of the company’s donuts are made fresh on-site.
