Company tax cut to benefit small business: poll

Under the new government, the promised company tax cut will benefit small business most according to Franchising magazine’s latest online poll.

But it was a close call for the most popular business initiative from the Coalition, with changes to penalty work rates just pipped at the post.

Respondents were able to choose one of four options: company tax cut, changes to penalty work rates, ditching the carbon tax and changes to Fair Work.

THE RESULTS

  • Company tax cut: 31.58%
  • Changes to penalty work rates: 27.63%
  • Ditching the carbon tax: 23.68%
  • Changes to Fair Work: 17.11%
