More than 300 staff, franchisees and suppliers gathered at the Melbourne Sofitel recently for the annual Autobarn awards.
“Our annual awards event is an important night for us because it brings together suppliers, franchisees and staff to celebrate our successes over the past year,” said David Barnden, general manager – operations. “ItÍs also important because on the night we reward outstanding achievements by individuals and companies involved in our business.”
Autobarn Sunbury won the 2007/2008 National Franchisee Award and also the State Franchisee Award for VIC/TAS/SA/NT. Other state award winners were Autobarn Caboolture in QLD and Autobarn Nowra in NSW. Autobarn Albion Park, a franchise which opened in April 2007, took out the Rookie of the Year Award and National Office Employee of the Year went to Trevor Osborne for his role as a retail support specialist.
“IÍm humbled to receive the 2007/2008 National Franchisee Award,” said Adam Mizzi of Autobarn Sunbury. “This award recognises the hard work of the entire Autobarn Sunbury team over the past 18 months and we will continue to strive for excellence, raising the bar for customer service and product range as we grow.”
Mizzi praised the support provided by the franchisor too.
“I would also like to recognise the guidance of Autobarn managing director Garry Dumbrell and the team at the national office who have provided enormous support and a great vision for the company. To be a part of the Autobarn organisation and to be awarded for all our hard work is overwhelming,” he added.
