Aussie launches game-changing property hub

Aussie home loans, a brand with disruption in its DNA, has introduced a game-changing one-stop-shop initiative that revolutionises its property services offer.

The Aussie property hub is an exciting concept. It transforms the transactional nature of mortgage broking into a relationship-driven, long-term property partnership.

Franchisees, brokers and retail stores can now support customers right through the journey to find, buy and own a property. 

Traditionally the property buying process is quite fragmented; home buyers turn to different companies to meet all their needs – from the home loan search to securing home insurance. Now Aussie is upping the stakes, giving customers easy access to complementary services under the broker’s banner.

This exciting development means home seekers can now utilise the talents of Aussie’s in-house buyer’s agent and conveyancing services as they begin their property journey.

This simplifies the process for customers, and delivers new revenue streams for franchisees and brokers.

New property hub takes Aussie brand beyond broking

Aaron Hockey, general manager, network development, is excited about the new proposition.

“This is a fundamental shift. We’re moving from our vertical approach of sourcing funding for customers to providing complementary services that fit our ‘Find, buy, own’ strategy,” Aaron says.

As Aussie develops the offer it is creating its own property eco-system, enabling customers to access complementary services under its own brand. For instance, the home loans firm has partnered with a conveyancing group to offer a white label product under the Aussie banner.

Expect to see more initiatives and partnerships that cement the Aussie brand as the ultimate one-stop-shop for property purchasing.

The property hub is backed by rich data on the Aussie mobile app which provides access to more than 11 million properties, with key insights and data.

And Aussie is deploying live equity tracking, real time automation and triggers to ensure customers can connect with brokers at the right time in their journey.

Aaron points out that franchisees and brokers will continue to be at the heart of the business, focusing on home loans solutions, but with an enhanced capacity to be at the centre of the property experience, linking customers to key products and services they need.

“People are looking for easy ways to complete the property buying process, and we can offer customers significant benefits, such as streamlined documentation. A customer will only need to complete one set of documents rather than a separate form for each service,” he explains.

While the aligned services ease customers’ property journey, they also provide further growth opportunities for business owners.

And the new property hub adds to the brand’s unique proposition under the Aussie name, offering flexibility in the business model and revenue streams.

The business has already moved 90 per cent of its Lendi brokers to the Aussie model, and migrated their customers. 

“This is great for brokers and franchisees. With one brand we can massively accelerate spend and marketing,” Aaron says.

“With Aussie’s property hub, franchisees now have an eco-system to provide relevant services that opens up new revenue streams and provides peace of mind and greater convenience for customers.”

Customers could, for instance, see a property listing on a TV screen in the window of an Aussie store, walk in, get a pre-approval from a broker/franchisee, and book in with a buyer’s agent to get their search underway for the perfect home – all on the one day.
