Home Timber and Hardware has pledged to donate $1,000 for every Super Goal and every mark in the goal square at the 2012 EJ Whitten Legends Game on Tuesday 3 July 2012. The network of individually owned retailers is a major sponsor of the annual AFL game which this year will be captained by Anthony Koutoufides (Victoria) and Wayne Carey (All Stars).

The funds will be donated directly to the EJ Whitten Foundation to raise money for prostate cancer research and to promote the awareness of men’s health.

Andrew Senyard, Home Timber and Hardware national marketing manager, said “It’s such a worthy cause, and what better way to motivate the players to deliver an entertaining game than to donate money for every goal and goal square mark?

“Our money for goals pledge will certainly make for an action packed night. We might see some interesting play as both the All Stars and the Victorians consider whether they should let the goals in!”

  • The fundraising match features some of the biggest retired AFL stars and celebrates the legacy of Footscray great, Ted Whitten.
