Just 19 years of age and already heading up his own business, The Coffee Club’s latest franchise recruit is the youngest in the group.

Rhys Lazarou, the son of The Coffee Club director John Lazarou, has taken the keys to the newly-completed Albert Street restaurant in Brisbane’s CBD which will provide 40 new local jobs.

Serving customers at the Capalaba cafŽ was Rhys’ introduction into The Coffee Club, before he joined the head office finance team.

“I have been with The Coffee Club for a few years now, and after talking to a few of the franchisees I decided I wanted to own a store and be part of the brand too. I may be the youngest franchisee but I know the responsibility that comes with the job. I understand the challenges that all new franchisees face and because many people will be looking at my progress I need to work doubly hard to be a success.”
