In celebration of its recent partnership with channel nine’s The Block All Stars program, Mitre 10 has launched the Mighty Aussie Road Trip.

The campaign will see a number of The Block All Stars contestants visit more than 50 Mitre 10 stores over a four week period.

On February 23 and 24, Mark and Duncan will visit Mitre 10 stores in Bendigo, Inglewood, Ararat and Stawell, Josh and Jenna will make appearances at Geelong South, Torquay, Chelsea Heights and Monbulk stores, meanwhile Phil and Amity will head to the company’s Diamond Creek and Bayswater stores.

The three couples will share their experiences with guests and delve into what went on behind the scenes of The Block.

At each store visit couples will demonstrate how a veggie patch can be built using an Absco Hexies raised garden bed, and a sausage sizzle, as well as store prizes and giveaways will be on the cards.

A number of the company’s major suppliers including Wattyl, Bosch, Senco and Oates will also be on hand to offer customers specialist advice.

Mark Laidlaw, CEO Mitre 10 said “the Mighty Aussie Road Trip will allow the Mitre 10 team and The Block contestants to meet with the Victorian community and offer our own local renovators first-hand knowledge and practical advice about home improvement and hardware.”

“Our customers are always coming in-store looking for helpful advice, there are many Blockheads out there and this is their chance to meet The Block stars in person,” he added.
