Subway tops satisfaction ratings

A Quick Service Restaurant survey of 2080 consumers has found Subway recorded the highest levels of customer satisfaction, ahead of McDonald’s, Hungry Jacks, KFC, Red Rooster, Nando’s and Oporto.

The Canstar Blue survey also found more than half of customers had no trouble finding healthy options in the QSR chains.

“Most of the bigger Quick Service chains now have a range of menu options which they promote as being healthy,” said Rebecca Logan of Canstar Blue.

However Logan believed that a speedy meal was uppermost in the minds of the 48 percent who said they never looked at the calorie count of their favourite meal.

One in five of the customers surveyed said home cooked food didn’t taste as good as meals from fast food outlets, and 59 percent said the food was tasty and fresh.

One in four respondents said they ate from a QSR restaurant more than twice a week with almost a third claiming it was cheaper than eating at home.
