Global sandwich chain Subway has been named the Reader’s Digest Most Trusted Quick Service Restaurant (QSR), and it has received the Canstar Blue Most Satisfied Customers QSR award for 2013.

This marks the second year in a row Australians have awarded Subway five stars for overall satisfaction in the Canstar Blue awards.

The awards see consumers rate a number of aspects of the business, including customer service, value for money, quality of ingredients and healthier options.

The regional director of Subway Australia and New Zealand, Brian Tap said the team is incredibly proud to receive such recognition from the Australian public.

“It is a great honour to be recognised as a trusted and satisfying brand in our industry,” he said.

“We see this award as a testament to our ongoing commitment to offer a range of great tasting, nutritious subs that can be tailored to the individual Aussie’s palate.”

He said the Reader’s Digest survey looks at three key factors when assessing the trustworthiness of a brand. “[It] lists reliability, quality and connection with customer needs as the attributes of trusted brands in any category. I am thrilled that Subway has such a prominent place in Australians’ hearts.”

More than 3,000 Australians participated in the Reader’s Digest Trusted Brands 2013, which reveals the most trusted brands by category in Australia each year.
