Stepz Fitness will next week host an information evening for prospective franchisees as interest in the 24 hour gym business model rises.

Held in Brisbane on 5 September, attendees will hear from franchising advisor and former CEO of Brumby’s Bakeries Michael Sherlock on why he thinks the model is a good one to invest in.

Co-directors Quang Tran and Murray Brass, who opened the first club in Stones Corner in 2009 will also be there.

“There is increasing demand for 24-hour gyms and great potential and room to grow the Stepz Fitness brand across Australia,” Tran said.

“More businesses are moving into the round-the-clock business model as part and parcel of today’s 24/7 world and Stepz Fitness has only just started to scratch the surface of this market.”

The Stepz Fitness model allows members 24-hour access to its gyms via a special access card as well as no fixed contract memberships.

“We have all the latest state-of-the-art gym equipment and access to personal trainers, but we don’t offer pools, spas or free group cardio classes,” said Tran

“This reduces our overheads and allows us to offer low membership rates that are about half the price of other gyms.”

Stepz Fitness franchisees aren’t required to have any fitness industry experience and according to Tran the business doesn’t require a huge capital investment and so is ideal for mum and dad investors and can even be a secondary income for people wanting to hold onto their current profession.
