The chocolate-based cafe concept Chocolateria San Churro has scored a top franchise rating from independent FRANdata. It is the first franchise system to achieve this honour in 2020.
Late last year San Churro was named Australian Established Franchisor of the Year in the Franchise Council of Australia’s annual Excellence in Franchising awards. Now the 16-year old business has joined an elite group of high-performing franchises evaluated through the Australian Franchise Rating Scale.
Ratings are allocated after an independent and fact-based assessment across seven key categories.
In achieving this strong (4-star) rating, the franchise system was able to demonstrate a high level of transparency and a high level of franchise performance.
FRANdata’s Australian CEO Darryn McAuliffe said “The review team was particularly impressed with San Churro’s high degree of vigilance and focus on the financial outcomes of their franchisees. San Churro was also able to evidence a strong commitment to the measurement and monitoring of franchisee satisfaction.
“Strong lender relations and a disciplined recruitment program also helped achieve this strong outcome.”
San Churro’s top franchise rating good for prospective franchisees
San Churro’s founder Giro Maurici said “It is great to be a part of an important initiative for the Australian franchise sector that clearly needs transparent analysis and reporting like FRANdata’s Australian Franchise Rating Scale to help us restore confidence in the sector.
“Whilst this high rating is great recognition for the hard work of our team, most importantly it should help reassure our existing and prospective franchise partners of the pedigree behind our operation and indeed the qualities they should be looking for in any franchise brand,” he said.
Rating assessment outcomes from the Australian Franchise Rating Scale are being delivered now to participating franchise systems and recorded with The Australian Franchise Registry.
San Churro joins a list of top rated brands in Australian franchising… including First Class Accounts; Poolwerx, Gutter-Vac and FCF Fire & Electrical; Lottery brands; Quest Apartment Hotels; Foodco’s Muffin Break, and Jamaica Blue; Ferguson Plarre, and Pack & Send.
