National gourmet pizza franchise, Pizza Capers, is the new naming rights sponsor of the 2009 Pizza Capers MINI Challenge Series. The newly branded Pizza Capers Uber Star Car Mini will be driven by specially-chosen celebrities at each race throughout the high-profile motorsport series.

The hotted-up Pizza Capers Uber Star Mini performed well on its maiden lap of the world-famous Sandown race circuit in Round Four of the series last week, with Olympic Awesome Foursome rower, James Tomkins behind the wheel.

Pizza Capers has secured the naming rights to MINI Challenge action for the rest of 2009 in a partnership that will see the Australian pizza chain supporting the next five races throughout the Motorsport series.

Pizza Capers marketing manager, Adrian Burton, said “Pizza Capers is a gourmet product at the upper end of the pizza market, and Mini is at the premium end of the small car market, so the synergies between the two products are spot on. We are a company thatÍs growing nationally and very quickly, just like the popularity of the MINI Challenge Series. We are excited to be part of such a driving force for our first step into national corporate sponsorshipÍ” he said.

Pizza Capers is currently in South East Queensland, plus NSW, South Australia and Victoria, with three stores now open in Collingwood, Malvern and Beaumaris in Melbourne.
