Retail Food Group owned pizza chain, Pizza Capers recently opened its first store in Western Australia.

The company identified the regional town of South Hedland, rather than the state’s capital of Perth as the ideal location for its first outlet in Western Australia.

“We have found regional communities respond well to Pizza Capers’ range of generously topped gourmet pizzas and delicious flavour combinations, and our outlets provide a busy, fun working environment,” said managing director, Peter Jones.

Given the performance of the new South Hedland store, which according to RFG achieved record opening week sales, Jones said there are plans to open additional outlets in Western Australia.

“We’ve identified sites for outlets in Albany and Kalgoorlie, and are now looking for motivated locals to take on ownership of the franchises before they open.

“We are confident these locations will produce high volume stores, replicating the success we have experienced at South Hedland,” he added.

Jones said Pizza Capers’ expansion in the state would boost employment numbers as stores seek staff to fulfil a number of different roles.

“With three stores set to open before the end of the year, we will be hiring more than 60 team members in Western Australia in roles varying from pizza makers and delivery drives to store managers and customer service staff.”
