Pirtek appoints new CEO

The Australian franchise Pirtek Fluid Systems has promoted group general manager Stephen Dutton to the role of chief executive officer, effective 1 May 2013.

Dutton takes over from Glenn Duncan, who remains a board member of the privately-owned Australian family company. Duncan will be heading up an aggressive international expansion programme for the Pirtek business as well as the development of other diversified interests within an expanding group of companies.

Dutton’s promotion to the top job comes after almost 20 years of service to Pirtek, starting as area sales manager in Brisbane.

In his new role, Dutton will be responsible for Australian-based operations, which includes 94 franchised service sites across the country.

Glenn Duncan said “He is a stand out example of how Pirtek encourages and develops employees through differing avenues to achieve their personal goals, desires and job satisfaction.

“As franchisees, work colleagues, family and friends, we can take pride in Stephen’s achievements over the years knowing we have all played a small part in his success.”

Dutton said “I am delighted to accept the position of CEO of Pirtek and looking forward to leading the company in its next exciting phase. We have a real family ethos through the Pirtek business at all levels and that is certainly something we will continue to embrace as we move forward.

“We face an ever-changing business landscape and we look forward to embracing that challenge head on.”
