The National Australia Bank (NAB) has appointed Darryn McAuliffe as national manager, NAB Franchise Banking. McAuliffe will take over the role from Barry Thatcher, now managing partner, Victoria for NAB Education and Community Business. McAuliffe will be driving NABÕs team of accredited franchise bankers around Australia and will be responsible for the ongoing accreditation of franchise systems and managing key relationships. He will also develop the franchise banking strategy and distribution model, including its expansion into rural areas.

“At NAB we understand the difficulties business owners are facing in the current market, and not only in the franchising sector, and weÕre here to help our customers through these volatile times,” McAuliffe said. “NABÕs lending to accredited franchise systems is as strong as ever.”
