Nanotek Car Cleaning has launched a flagship store in Saudi Arabia in the city of Al-Khobar after a year of planning and development.

Fawzi Aqel, general manager, Nanotek Middle East, said “This facility is the new template for our brand in the Middle East region — not only as a fixed site operation but as a base for our mobile operations.

“The operation is based around our core Nanotek car cleaning and detailing service, but we have also extended our offering to include paint protection, headlight renovation, window tinting and body wrapping in order to offer our clients a complete car care service tailored to our market. This will now be incorporated into our franchise model for the Middle East.”

The official launch was attended by the Mayor of Al-Khobar, Isam Al Mulla, Nanotek CEO Jim Cornish, and key players in the region’s automotive industry including general managers for the agencies of Hyundai, KIA, Nissan, Toyota, Lexus, Volvo, General Motors and Porsche — all of whom use Nanotek for the cleaning and pre-delivery of their cars.

Since launching in the Middle East in 2006, Nanotek has expanded to include operations in Bahrain, Kuwait, UAE, Sudan and will soon service Qatar, as well as many regional centres in Saudi Arabia

Jim Cornish, Nanotek CEO, said “The Middle East is a fantastic market. It is technology focused, the car culture is very strong, and the effects of the environment extremely harsh — a perfect combination for the benefits of the Nanotek service.

“This is now the blueprint for our fixed site operations in all markets and the experience we gain here can be shared with our franchisees around the world.”

Nanotek plans to launch further fixed sites in Jeddah and Riyadh but will start with the conversion of itÕs current ÔecowashÕ branded fixed sites in Mecca and Medina.
