Mother and daughter franchisees for Zarraffa’s Coffee

A former store manager has turned her dream of owning a Zarraffa’s Coffee store into a reality, in partnership with her mum.

As an employee at the coffee chain Jemima Harris loved the brand’s consistency, great reputation and the flavours of all the beverages and these were important considerations when she started to think about becoming a franchisee.

In partnership with her mother, Judy Morgan, Jemima has just opened the doors to the company’s newest store at Oxley Village Shopping Centre, Oxley Station Rd, Oxley – located in suburban south west Brisbane.

“The decision was an easy one as I had worked in the industry and for the company at the Worongary store,” says an enthusiastic Jemima. “It helped that we both had a love for Zarraffa’s Coffee and its culture.

“We are excited to open our doors in the new shopping centre, anchored by Woolworths and supported by a range of specialty shops catering to locals. It is also an easy stop for commuters to grab their daily coffee.”

Jemima says her journey with the company – from employee to employer – has helped her to grow as a person.

“I have learnt new things being involved with the Zarraffa’s community, becoming someone who has a real passion for coffee and a real fan of the Zarraffa’s way of business.”

Community involvement and customer engagement are top priorities for Jemima and her mum at the new store.

“We are here to serve our customers the best coffee in town, to be involved in our community and become more than just their local barista,” she says.

“Many of my previous customers have become friends and we look forward to building these same relationships in our local community, day after day.”
